Why she exists

Useful help should leave you in charge.

AI can give a fluent wrong answer. Important context can disappear, and online tools can send information beyond your device. Ari’el’s purpose is to make useful help and understandable boundaries part of the same experience.

Built by Bob Ladrach. Ari’el grew out of decades spent helping people learn difficult systems, then asking a simple question: what would change if the system learned how to work with the person?

Ari’el is the experience. LIMINA is the architecture behind it. She is agentic in how she helps—she can clarify, route, remember approved context and move a task forward—but she is not an autonomous agent with her own goals or authority. The model can change; the continuity and permission layer stays in charge.

Ari’el is model agnostic. A school or business could use a larger local model—70B or 120B, where the hardware supports it—or connect to a custom online system.

External use must have a clear permission boundary.
Fuzzy does not mean magicalContext can be interpreted in degrees. Hard permissions must stay separate from a model’s guess.
Memory is not mind readingConversation context, approved saved information and model training are different things.

What is Ari’el?

Ari’el is a person-facing way to work with AI. LIMINA is the layer behind her that organizes context, permissions, memory and model routing.

Does she work without Wi‑Fi?

The personal installation is designed to keep its everyday layer available offline. The public Guest demonstration runs online.

What does “1B local model” mean?

It means a compact language model can handle many ordinary requests on your own computer. A larger model can be used for deeper work when that route is available and allowed.

Why use a 1B model?

The 1B model is not expected to do every job by itself. LIMINA handles context preparation, approved memory, routing, permissions and deterministic knowledge before the language model is asked to express an answer. That keeps everyday work local, reduces the amount of model computation needed, and makes the model replaceable.

We call the effect resonance: useful capability can emerge when the person, the continuity layer, the routing, the lexicon, the boundaries and the language model work together. It is an engineering design principle we test—not a claim that the system is conscious or that a small model is always better.

Where does my information go?

In a local installation, permitted information can remain on your computer or local network. In the online Guest demo, the session is limited and runs on the public service. The two deployments are intentionally different.

Does Ari’el remember me?

She can use the current conversation and, in a personal installation, retain information you approve. A preference, a model inference and a temporary conversation are different things.

Can I correct or forget something?

That is a required part of the personal product: you should be able to see what was retained, correct it and reset it. Long-term memory is not a promise to remember everything.

Is Ari’el a chatbot?

She uses language models, but the experience also includes contextual routing, continuity, boundaries and human-controlled escalation.

Does she replace teachers, experts or people?

No. Ari’el helps someone understand a situation, plan and take a step they choose. She is not a replacement for professional care, accountable adults or human judgment.

What should I use the Guest demo for?

Bring one ordinary, non-sensitive idea you want to understand, plan or revise. Do not use the introductory demo for clinical, legal, financial or emergency decisions.

Is the online demo the finished personal product?

No. The Guest demo proves the public experience. The personal edition adds local operation, deeper continuity and installation support after compatibility testing.

Can I try Ari’el before buying anything?

Yes. The public Guest demonstration is free. The personal PC edition is being finalized with its hardware, support and update requirements.

How Ari’el runs.

On a PC or laptop

Ari’el can run locally on a supported Windows computer using a compact model for everyday conversation and task support. The local layer is designed to remain available when the internet is turned off.

Across your local network

Ari’el can run on one computer and be reached by other devices on the same trusted local network. Open Chrome or another modern browser on a laptop, Chromebook, tablet or other browser-based device and connect to the local Ari’el service.

Online

If offline operation and local privacy are not your priority, you can use the online version through a browser. The online service handles the computing and is the path for upcoming access to larger models and expanded capabilities.

What the local setup needs

You need a supported PC or laptop, enough storage for the application and selected model, and a browser for devices connecting over the local network. Exact hardware requirements depend on the model and features chosen.

Is Ari’el tied to one language model?

No. Ari’el is designed to be language-model agnostic. The local edition might use a compact 1B model, while a school or business could use a larger local model—70B or 120B where the hardware supports it—or connect to a custom online system.

What changes between versions?

The Ari’el experience remains familiar, but the processing boundary and selected model can change. Local operation keeps permitted work on your computer or network. Online operation sends the request to the hosted service so it can use hosted computing and, as available, higher-capability models.

Which should I choose?

Choose local when control, offline access and keeping permitted information close matter most. Choose online when convenience, simple access and larger hosted models matter more. You can use the public Guest demonstration before choosing.
